3 projector setup fly Elise p3dv5 basic help needed!

Post by Lesdawson »

Hi all,

We have recently upgraded our air cadet Sims from fsx to a new fast pc and p3dv5.

We have two full fighter jet cockpits each with a 3 projector setup covering a 180' cylinder shape and additional monitor in the cockpit for instruments.
We used to use fly Elise to blend and warp the projectors then load up fsx and once in the game engine it would all work.

It doesn't seem to work with the new p3d v5 setup.
No warping happens...it is a fairly old version of fly Elise I think,..

Any ideas / suggestions? Is fly Elise still the way to go for this kind of setup?

I'm good with the view group management I think.

Regards

I use 5.3 and Fly Elise with 3 projectors. Works fine.
You will need to re-warp from scratch as the FSX warp is different.

Hi,
Can I ask you for sons more help??
So I have the latest version of immersive pro and p3d5 as described,
I'm having problems- I'll describe what I have done so far:
Immersive display pro- grouped the three projectors together into a display leaving the 4th instrument monitor out
Manually did alignment and warping etc.

Used the "p3d " export button in the simulations tab
Desktop warping and windows warping both disabled.

P3d: I saw a problem straight away- the first screen with vehicle selection showed the rotating f35 with the image split into three segments with a black line in-between each....

I have the view groups set up as follows:
Three views defined , left, centre and right with a fourth display for the instruments.

I'm guessing this is where I may have gone wrong-;after grouping the displays I'm immersive display pro should I therefore have one very wide view assigned all the way across the three projectors?

Also the expiry to p3d didn't seem to do anything!!

Basic stuff I know but I'm struggling!!

Many thanks

Personally I would only run the 3 projectors. Having an extra monitor can cause issues down the track.
What I have done is use an auto grid setup in view groups.

Set the grid to 180 adjust your edge overlaps then warp the screen using fly elise.
