Cant install SimConnect

Post by Nadvan44 »

Hi guys, I'm using P3D v5 and I got an addon that requires SimConnect, however when I tried to install SimConnect, I get the following error:

"""Microsot.FlightSimulator.SimConnect, version = 10.0.61259.0, type = win32.processerArcitecture=x86, publicKeyToken=67c7c14424d61b5b
Please refer to help and Support for more information"""

I have no idea what's causing this, I've tried fixing my MVSC++, my .NET framework and my P3D but it keeps happening.
If anyone knows how to fix this, Please reply because I've been trying to fix this for over 5 hours now.

Hi
It seems it is not an error but an information on the version installed.
In the Windows Control Panel, open the “Programs and Functionalities” page.
You will see the microsoft flight simulator simconnect client installed.
You can have
v10.0.61242.0
v10.0.61259.0
v10.0.62615.0

I checked my programs and features but I was unable to find the Microsoft Flight Simulator SimConnect, Maybe it’s a problem with my PC?

Thanks

In the search bar of your explorer, search Simconnect in Windows/WinSxS.

Nadeem,

Do you have the P3D SDK installed?

Nadeem,

Maybe try this: uninstall the SDK, then reboot the system. Reinstall the SDK, and then fly one flight (no matter which or how long) in P3D.

Shut down P3D, and, using File Explorer, go to the folder where you installed the SDK and find the file named

ConfigSDK.exe

Right-click on that file, and from the menu select "Run as administrator". You'll be prompted to type "Yes". When the program finishes (takes about 1 second) reboot again and then see if SimConnect works.

Jorgen

Edit PS: if it doesn't work, don't do anything but report back here.

Hi Jorgen, Although I followed your steps, I was unable to get the SimConnect working.

If you don't know how to fix it, its fine. ill ask a P3D employee

Nadeem.

Oh, L-M will see the question here.

The question if they will reply is a different one, see section 6 of the EULA that you agreed to when you installed P3D.

That's why we have these forums.

I have the WebSimConnect folder in the v6.1 program folder, but I still can’t get the EFB to work on the Aerosoft A320 Professional.

Hi Reggie, have you installed the simconnect from the folloring folder???

XXX:\Prepar3d V6\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib\SimConnect.msi

xxx:\Prepar3d\ is your root P3D folder.

no need for the SDK.

Does Aerosoft have anything to say about this issue?

There ia a lot of discussion on the Aerosoft forums for P3Dv4 and 5, but nothing about v6. I’ve got the Websimconnect folder in my main P3D folder, but the EFB still won’t work.

I just checked wih Aerosoft and as I suspected the A320 Profesional is only supported on Lockheed Martin Prepar3D V4.5.x or V5.2 as specified in the System Requiremnts IN RED!!!....

I guess now you are on your own, It is not a P3D problem and not one that Aerosoft will be willing to solve....

I may be wrong , if so I apologize.
