KPAE field elevation too high?

Post by KCMO »

The threshold of 16R should be about 563 feet.

P3d v6 is at 612 feet.

This makes the Drzewiecki Seattle Airports scenery terrain for KPAE to appear in a trough.

Drzewiecki elevation at 16R is correct.

Hi, Threshold elevations aren't the same as the airport elevations. Each threshold actually has a different elevation (reported at some airports) but not all. All airports report an airport elevation. Since we have a flat airport at KPAE the v6 elevation was set to the reported airport elevation not the threshold elevation. Airnav.com reports an airport elevation of 609 for KPAE, which is more recently updated than v6's airport data.

Sorry for the confusion. I seem to have a corrupted Seattle Airports X installation.

Yes, both v5 and v6 model KPAE at a flat field elevation of 612.

For some reason Seattle Airports X puts me in at a lower elevation of 565 (surrounded by hills).

P.S. Feel free to delete my posts.
