I opened an account with that FSA thingy.... it looks to me to be very much sales-oriented at this time, certainly not focused on support. The so-called help for beginners is totally superficial, etc etc etc

Would I pay USD 30 a year for this? No, I don't really think so.... not as it looks now.

I have a feeling that it will fly like a lead glider.... but I have been wrong before.

If you have to pay $ 30 to get to a private LM forum where you will get more direct support from the LM team, than imho that is sad news !

Where did LM say this private Forum space is for getting support? I only did read something like more direct access to the devs at LM....which must not be necessarily support access or?

Maybe LM can make this more clear to us?

I personally would have been happier if they had simply released an update for version 5. This whole "Big News" thing is a disappointment and of no use to me.

Too bad too sad.

Apparently I brought this issue on avsim and it got taken down - what gives..(not gonna gripe here)

Anyway I am absolutely happy to pay for support. Everyone needs to run a business. I pay for Applecare+ and even my brand new Thinkpad P1 Gen 3 has the works when it comes to extended support and warranty. MS Office 365 offers support (yeah I am pay monthly for my 7 office subs for my team - support is baked in by default).

Just be open about it - I am willing to pay $30 to FSA if it gains me special access to LM devs. The whole world is going in that route, so I am game about it but I personally believe LM should directly offer extended support plans. I am open to whole FSA approach, it is almost like the Costco model.

Before I start seeing posts like support is not there but that is a gray area. Off course user's expectation in special area will be tied to support. It is not like users are gonna post - hey devs look at this place where I flew; Enjoy this pretty screenshot of the sim.

I would have thought that the effort we've all put into reporting and solving problem's on here over and over again would have counted for something, a new product get's released and we instantly set about testing and de bugging on our own time and our own computers and reporting back on what we find, that's a pretty big test base that's absolutely free of charge.
I have all version's of both fsx and p3d and I love the improvements that have been made over the years but having to pay to access a forum when we've been the source of feedback and solution's and workarounds is a bit of a stretch, just my oppinion

Someone pointed me in the direction of the contracts (EULA).

I can recommend to read them again.

I will not discus this any further here. Also I will not give further feedback on this whole FSA topic.

Lets concentrate on what we have with P3D! I use it every single day and I am really happy with it!

If LM would provide more updates I am even happier. MSFS did not met my requirements when it comes to Flight Simulation!!!

To get a response from a developer here, you have to go to FSA. LM is losing his soul.
I am a real fan of P3D and I don't have MSFS.

I hope that LM will deliver us an update to the height of what they made us hope.

Like I said before, FSA seems (to me at least) to be very sales-oriented, and not support-oriented - not for end user consumer support, which is really where it is needed.

Whatever support is going to be there (as it looks now) seems to me to be more of an inter-developer exchange.

And as this is part of a company strategy, there is very likely no official comments forthcoming.
