Kneeboard

Post by CFG874 »

P3dv4.5 current version
What do we have the Kneeboard for?
There's never anything in it for me.
Can I enter my own data like PFL or checklist?
Have not found anything about how it goes in a simple way.
I would be grateful for help.
Thanks CFG874 Bernd

Hi,

the kneeboard is a HTML browser. You can put whatever you like in it when you know your way around HTML design (you can do that with most text editors these days, like Word or OpenOffice). Just create a html document with your desired content and save it where the .air file of the aircraft is, with the name that it has in the aircraft.cfg:

MyPlane.air
=>
MyPlane_check.htm
MyPlane_ref.htm
[fltsim.0]
title=MyPlane Paint1
sim=MyPlane
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=1
kb_checklists=MyPlane_check
kb_reference=MyPlane_ref
...
(first file is the Checklist kneeboard, the second one the Reference KB).

The freeware Lorby Scratchpad app has an editor for the kneeboard too.

Best regards
