Sam,

I need you to explain what you mean by "visualisation mode", and also your system specs....

Jorgen
System: i5-12600K@4.9 GHz, ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-I motherboard, 32 GB 4800 MHz DDR5 RAM, Gainward RTX 3060 w/ 12 GB DDR6 VRAM, Windows 10 Pro.

Hi Jorgan, I think he is referring to the message one sees when P3D is unable to load the default aircraft.

Sam, let the simulator load in "visualization mode," and then set a default scenario with the aircraft of your choice and the location you want (I recommend a location within your time zone).

Sam,

One possible cause is a bad VehicleFavorites.xml

Go to your
Users
You (e.g. your name)
AppData
Roaming
Lockheed Martin
Prepar3D v4 or v5 ?

And delete the VehicleFavorites.xml file.

Reboot PC.
Start P3D v4 (or v5) ?

For the Crashes to desktop:
To try to isolate what is causing the CTD
Look in the Windows Event Viewer and get the

Faulting Module Name
