Not starting with w7 (no fslabs)

Post by swaluver88 »

Hello im having trouble starting my sim. I run it as admin and it loads but does not show the menu. However its still running in ghe background. I have literally tried everything from entering that start up in my cfg. To uninstalling addon after addon and still no luck. Im starting to think its not compatible with W7. I have an i7-7700k and a nvidia gtx 1080ti so my hardware should run 4.5 no problem

Hi There,

See this:

https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 2&t=133133
Use the solution indicated there by Kayla.

Hello all,

Could you try to add the following entry to your Prepar3D.cfg?

In the [STARTUP] section:

LoadVirtualReality = 0

If there is no [STARTUP] section, you can create one and just paste the following to the end of your config:

[STARTUP]
LoadVirtualReality = 0

Thanks,
Kayla

Ok try deleting your scenery.cfg file, I saw some cases of users unable to load P3D due to corrupt entries left inside this file by add-on's that didn't clear their entries after being uninstalled.

I use Win7-64, i7-6700, 16GB Ram, GTX960/4GB, (old PC), all ok with P3Dv4.5.

Before you installed P3Dv4.5 did you verify your downloaded ZIP file's Checksum?
Did you install with virus checker Off?
Do you run P3D as Administrator?
Do you reboot your PC between each P3D test?

How many monitors are in your setup?

Did you Upgrade to P3Dv4.5 from a previous P3D version?

Or is it a first time install without any add-ons (aircraft, saved flights, scenery)?

I think that is your problem.

What was your previous P3D version?

Which Payware aircraft were you using?

Did you have any saved flights / situations from the old P3D version?
