Re: Does P3D V4 work better than P3D V3?
I did not have v. 3 myself, as I "transitioned" from FSX into v. 4. But I can tell you that v. 4 in my experience was rock-stable, and worked much better than FSX, if that will mean anything to you. I will also say that if your system can handle it, you might want to go to v. 5 or v. 6 ins...

Hello Ideroo,
Can you get the error information from Windows Event Viewer at the time of such a crash?

Re: Problem Loading Mission FSX on P3D V3 Crashing
Hello Thomas,
This exception code points to what's going on:
Exception code: 0xc0000374
This can be a bit of a pain to resolve, but try as a first step to look at this page:
https://www.partitionwizard.com/partiti ... 00374.html
Please let us know how this goes -

I don't have v. 3 myself, but can you find the error information from the time when P3D closes on you in Windows Event Viewer?

Re: landing gear
Joop,
Your Dakota would seem to be an add-on aircraft. Have you tried asking its developer?
And ALT326, if the air craft where your issue is happening also is an add-on aircaft, have you then tried to ask its developer?

Since the L-M staff hasn't replied yet, then try sending an email to:
licensing@prepar3d.com
and just explain the issue.

If you only use MSFS2020, then you are in the wrong forum.

Re: AddON Program(s)
Many airports that work in P3D v. 5 will work in v. 6 also, I have not yet run into any that do not. Also, many that work in v. 4 will also work in v. 6. But - there is always a but - this is not guaranteed! Some will unfortunately not work. For add-on user-flyable aircraft you need to make sure tha...

I believe you can actually do that in the FSX forums on flightsim.com, here:

I cannot remember if there is a way of contacting him in the readmes of his aircraft.

Sherm,
I am able to post at MAIW, but I have been registered there for years. Their site has been under severe malware attacks, that's why they're repairing it now. Their file library is unavailable because of this, and will be for a while yet.

Re: MNFRED JAHN'S DC3 C47 FOR P3D
Bullfox, allow me a quote: "The DC3 is not a sky rocket". From personal experience, having jumped from those in RDAF service about 30 times, I can definitely verify that! Twice I also have had the pleasure of flying one, under the watchful eye of an IP. But it's such a nice, docile old bir...

It is enough to download the latest client, uninstall your present client and then install the new client.

Sherm,
Maybe Manfred himself could give you some tips. Or you might want to ask the friendly folks at AIG or MAIW on how to do this?

If your CPU is indeed running at 3.5 GHz, you might consider overclocking it. Also you could go here: https://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv5/prepar3d/getting_help/advanced_configuration.html and here: https://simmershome.de/prepare3d-v5-einstellungen/ (this site is in German, there is an English-language op...
