Re: P3D vs MS2020

I tried DCS World but ended up with: VRS F18E TacPack TrackIr For FSX, P3D4 and P3D5. https://i.imgur.com/s1WelM8.jpg I loved the VRS Hornet, I had bought it (together with TacPack) for FSX, P3Dv3 and P3Dv4... (and maybe P3Dv2 but I don't remember right now...). It was the aircraft I flew the most,...

Re: P3D vs MS2020

As far as I can say after 20 Years of simming.... ...you are a slave of Microsoft running thir product. Why do I need a Microsoft account for simming ? ...You have to accept a lot of overload with MS-Games and Xbox necessarities. ...if you are interested in IFR flying, scenery is not really what yo...

Re: V6?

Is there any video showing version 6 of p3d? And the requerment to run v6? By that i mean computerspecs to run it? There is no V6. Nobody here knows if there will ever be one. Some people have been spreading false statements about an upcoming V6 based on e.g. some developer putting "V6" i...

Re: V6?

So lets take this line by line. You may be new to flight simulation but both XP and P3D are in a continual state of development and xp in particular has been for decades and P3D has been since first release. MSFS has had zero effect on the continuous development cycle. Very true. If anything, the a...

Re: All developers no longer products for P3DV5

You are right about the target audience. However, this doesn't change the validity of my comments. Milviz and A2A might still make (or just support) some P3D models for the army or other professional/associations etc... but we "normal simmers" (or sofa simmers as mentioned) won't get anyth...

Re: All developers no longer products for P3DV5

To get money, you need customers, which P3D doesn't have (enough) anymore. Simple as that. You mentioned something about "lack of morality" from the addon makers ? Are you serious ? The developers didn't switch to MSFS and X-Plane by lack of morality; they switched because of the complete ...

Isn't it "an upcoming P3D version"... of Prosim ?

Re: Five months since HF2. Will there be 5.4?

I did purchased MSFS (DVD boxed version). What a nightmare! Installation was dreadful, that it forced updates on you every time you started the sim. Yes the graphics are better, but thats it. The whole thing had the feeling of a game not a simulator. I got fed up very quickly and uninstalled it. Un...

Re: Five months since HF2. Will there be 5.4?

I agree with many of the posts on this topic. For me, there is no competition from MSFS because I built a home cockpit and require support for multiple screens and full control functions, and I definitely do not want constant irrelevant updates messing things up. I do however have the feeling that ...

Re: Helicopter on P3D

Hi, Which helicopter have you tried ? Unfortunately, on FSX or P3D, most helicopters flight models are just terrible. This simulator is not the best choice for flying helos. Very few models have a believable flight model, and even fewer are actually compatible with P3D4.5. Only two good models comin...

Re: Future of P3D

Or maybe their are evaluating the possibility to create a new P3D version based on the new "ESP" base of MSFS, as mentioned by somebody else earlier in this thread ?

Re: Future of P3D

It's a valid remark. However, as far as I remember, Flight was not advertised much in advance, and was very soon criticized by literally everybody for its absolutely terrible marketing strategy. At no point in time Flight was ever popular, for anybody. Their first plane addon, the Mustang, was a tot...

Re: Future of P3D

The reactions here are understandable. It's a bit like when FSX arrived. FS9 users said they would keep with FS9, because they invested too much... then they saw the quality of the FSX addons and they jumped to the new sim. Same with FSX -> P3D, especially when P3D became 64 bits. Many FSX users ann...

Re: Future of P3D

I take the liberty to quote: "P3D still suffers from major performance problems, terrain blurries, micro-stutters, and other issues." With all respect, not correct. With the proper hardware and settings, P3D by itself does not have these issues. However, if you pile add-ons galore, especi...

Re: Future of P3D

I would also be very interested to know if LM plans anything regarding the upcoming "competitor" that is MSFS... We all know LM is mainly targeting the military/professional customers, so they probably don't give a sidewinder about what the non-entertained customers think. However, they mi...
